At 14 years old it is hard to believe Sofia Mechetner is already causing a stir in the fashion world.

The Israeli model from Tel Aviv, who is signed to Viva Model Management in Paris and Roberto Model Agency in Israel, was first spotted by fashion designer and Christian Dior creative director, Raf Simons, during a chance encounter at a French boutique. A couple of weeks later she was unveiled as the new face of Dior after signing a two year contract rumoured to be worth £170k. She then went on to walk in the fashion house's autumn/winter 2015/2016 show during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, causing a controversy at the time as she was wearing a see-through dress, leading campaigners to hit out at Dior for allegedly exploiting and selecting an underage girl to represent their brand. Despite the scandal, and with more campaigns coming up, there seems to be no stopping this newcomer.
